Romance by Candlelight

Candles can be one of the most powerful decor elements you employ in your wedding decor. They are romantic, they make cute gifts, and with so many varieties to choose from, you are sure to find some to fit your theme!

Here are our favorite ways candles can be used as centerpieces, decor accessories, guest favors and so much more to help make your dream wedding a reality.

Lighting the Way

We love luminaries! They’re so romantic, so chic and so practical too! Luminaries are a great way to show your guests the way from the ceremony to the reception area at an outdoor wedding venue. Tea lights in lanterns are also great for lining the aisle at sunset.

Setting the Mood

What is more romantic than soft candlelight? By dimming the venue’s overhead lights and using candles to provide the luminescence during the reception, this is a great way to really get the romantic ambiance going. Consider tea lights on the reception tables, floating candles in glass cylinders or pillar candles along the venue perimeter.

During Your Ceremony

The Unity Candle Ceremony is a romantic gesture typically performed immediately following your vows. You each take a lit taper candle and together you light the “unity” pillar candle symbolizing the blending of your separate lives into one. Remembrance or Memorial Candles are a lovely way to acknowledge deceased loved ones during the ceremony or reception. Pairing them with photographs really lends an extra special touch.

Decor Accessories

Whether you use regular candles, battery operated, floating candles, or tea lights they are always an incredibly versatile wedding decoration. Dress them up or down, use them as part of your centerpiece decor or as a way to add a little light to the guest book table, the possibilities are endless!

Whether you are using votives, pillars or tea lights, candles can be be used as the main attraction or the final finishing touches to your reception table centerpieces adding color and soft lighting to the over all look of your entire canvas.

Making Your Theme Pop!

Including small candle details in your reception table decor or guest favors is a great way to add just a punch of playfulness and pizazz to your wedding theme. It’s absolutely acceptable to have a little fun with these cute candles no matter how formal your wedding is!

Guest Favors

Candles as favors are such a fun way to tell your guests “thanks.” From miniature starfish candles to cinderella wedding carriage candles and everything in between, there is sure to be the perfect candle favor for your wedding! Get creative. Don’t shy away from these outrageous little candles. They make great conversation pieces!
