Angela + Danny I Classic Rockabilly Elopement I Nashville, Tennessee

May 31, 2017

When a little bit of rock and roll mixes with old school Nashville, magic happens.

When Angela first called us from Canada to let us know that she and Danny wanted to elope we said, "No problem! It's what we do!!"  Then she continued on to say that they wanted to get married at the Ryman Auditorium in two weeks time. Well, we love a challenge and what we arranged for them far exceeded their expectations!

Having called the Ryman Auditorium only to find that someone else had beaten us to the punch, previously booking the date, Angela and Danny said that they loved Nashville so much that they didn't even mind if they just had a quiet ceremony on the steps of the historic venue.

While we appreciated their desire to be flexible and their desire simply to be wed, this simply would not do. So, after pulling a few strings, we were able to call Angela and Danny to let them know that their wedding would soon become part of Nashville history! Theirs was going to be the FIRST couple to ever have their  wedding ever held at the historic RCA Studio B.

Needless to say, upon receiving the call that they would be saying their "I dos" in the same place that music greats such as Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline, Chet Atkins and The Everly Brothers recorded some of their greatest hits, Angela promptly dropped the phone and began screaming and jumping around the kitchen much to Danny's delight.

You see, Danny had been asking Angela to marry him for a decade, however, seeing as how everything was just so perfect between them she saw no need to rock the boat as it were. It wasn't until Angela's grandfather, on his death bed, gave Angela her grandmother's wedding ring and told her to have faith and trust in love. He was blessed with over fifty years with the love of his life, and he only wanted the same for his best girl.

Honoring her grandfather's dying wish, Danny whisked Angela off to their most favorite place on earth to create some of their happiest memories together.

They arrived at the Historic RCA Studio B, and being the passionate music lovers they are, there was a reverent silence as if they were entering hallowed ground. The silence was quickly dispelled with smiles and laughter as they were both bubbling over with excitement! Angela and Danny looked like they stepped right out of the golden age of Nashville music. Danny even wore a designer recreation of the jacket that Elvis Presley wore when we married Priscilla! Angela, who has one of the most beautiful smiles in the world, glowed in a black and white polka-dot Rockabilly dress, red heels and lipstick.

Thankfully talented Nashville, photographer, Jenna Henderson was on hand to capture every single memory they created as they took their vows during their musically themed wedding ceremony, becoming husband and wife. Knowing that they hired us not only to plan every last detail, they also asked us to officiate as well. With every other element perfectly curated, down to the feathery florals to match her shoes to perfection from Wildflowers, LLC, how could we not have a custom written ceremony for them as well?

Further cementing their place in Nashville's iconic history, following their wedding ceremony, the audio engineer on hand at RCA Studio B surprised them by playing "Can' t Help Falling In Love" by Elvis and "Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison, two of their favorites for their first dance as husband and wife.

To say that their wedding day was perfect, is truly an understatement. Both Angela & Danny kept saying that they felt like we had known each other for years and because of that connection their wedding, which they never imagined they would have, was beyond perfect. To quote the bride, "Our wedding was a dream come true and more than we could have ever asked for; without Raina (and her amazing vendors) we never would have had what turned out to be the most amazing day we could have imagined."
