Recycle Your Wedding

August 30, 2017

If you're looking for something to do with all the items you're left with after your wedding, or you are looking for those few finishing touches for your wedding yet to come, we have a few fabulous suggestions!

There are so many options now for listing and selling items from your weddings including decor, shoes, accessories and even your dress! Not only is recycling items from your wedding good for the planet, but it will allow you to recoup some of the costs not to mention clearing out the clutter!

Not quite married? Not to worry! When someone is selling you could be buying. Saving hundreds on a new-to-you wedding dress, for example.

Here is a list of our eight favorite sites for recycling the wedding!

Once Wed

Once Wed is wonderful, but they specialize specifically in wedding dresses. They have many many weddings that can save you hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars. This site allows shoppers to filter and sort dresses by date, designer, size and condition.

100 Layer Cake

100 Layer Cake lets you browse hundreds of items in their marketplace which includes a wide variety of items from mason jars to wedding dresses and everything in between. Descriptions on each item help you learn more and see where they will be coming from, what the shipping terms are, and nice large images to view before you buy.

Bridal Garage Sales

Bridal Garage Sales offers everything from catering to electronics and everything in between. We love this site because they not only list everything in a clear and concise manner but prior to clicking on the desired category they also list how many items are being offered in that category. Once you click on the category they offer a price, photo (in most cases) and a brief description of the item.

PreOwned Wedding Dresses

PreOwned Wedding Dresses can help you save 10% to 90% off retail prices! They sell both sample and previously worn wedding dresses and accessories. We love this site because of how well it is laid out with multiple search and filter options to choose from.

Bravo Bride

Bravo Bride is amazing! We simply love this site for the incredible selection of anything and everything you might be looking for. They have wedding dresses, accessories, decor...even engagement rings and wedding bands. Their gallery allows you to view the image, size (if applicable) and price. The description and details page has nearly everything you will need to know about the item to make an accurate decision.

Recycled Bride

Recycled Bride is the wedding branch of the very popular resale site Tradesy, which we also love. This site is the largest and quite possibly the oldest, site for recycling your wedding. The format is extremely well laid out and updated on a regular basis. We'd be surprised if you didn't find what you were looking for here.

Wedding Recycle

Wedding Recycle is a photo gallery with a wide array of wedding items paired with the newlyweds showcasing how they used the items in their actual weddings. This is a great site not only to sell, but to buy and gain creative ideas for your own upcoming event.

Project Wedding

Project Wedding, through Wedding Wire is set up more like a web forum than an online catalog where you can browse through photos. You can filter based on what you are looking for (dress, tux, decor, jewelry, etc.) but you have to click on each individual item to get a good snap shot of what's for sale.

Wedding Bee

Wedding Bee is very similar to Project Wedding in that the classifieds are laid out in a forum style without displaying images. It's not the best for visual people, but there are still hundreds of listings, so if you are willing to take the time you can hunt up some really good deals.

Ruffled

Ruffled is very similar to 100 Layer Cake, allowing you to search and filter based on category. What we love about Ruffled is that right next to each item's image you can see where the item is located (which is lovely if you need to hunt down things that are close by due to time constraints), the price and a truncated description.

Where do you love to recycle your wedding?

Where have you found some great deals?

Let us know so we can share them with other couples as well!
